I went over to pretty much my favorite tea house yesterday,
Steeps, to unwind from a busy day window shopping and book buying. After wandering around for four hours mostly in the sun, I was looking forward to a refreshing iced tea, but when I got inside I knew I needed to get a pot of Lemon Tart. Even hot, the splash of lemon, with the bold black tea undertones cooled me right down and I was ready to enjoy the next hour curled up on one of their many comfy chairs with one of my newly purchased finds.

Tibetan Monk's Tea at One Hour |
Before started to head home, I stopped by the tea shelf and spotted a few boxes of T-Sacs'. I grabbed a box of
T-Sac - Size 2's and small bag of Tibetan Monk's Tea. The multi-layered aroma really sold me, the vanilla and jasmine push through the spicy mix, but the entire package is on the whole isn't over powering.
I wanted to break out my kettle right when I got home, but being the first time I've tried this particular tea I wanted to softly sun brew it instead. Just after lunch today, I filled up one of my new
T-Sac's and let it sit in my favorite brewing spot. That photo was taken about one hour in, and with the release of colour I'm seeing, I expect a four hour brew time.
The Dinner Crystal Ball says nice light ham, cheese and tomato sandwiches, with a side of baby greens to combat this heat. Until then, I think it's ATC sketching time!
